Continuum equations governing steady, laminar, free convection ̄ow of a particulate suspension over an in®nite, permeable, inclined and isothermal ̄at plate are studied. The equations account for particulate viscous and di€usive e€ects which are absent from most two-phase ̄uid-particle models. An analytical solution is developed for the particle-phase density distribution.
