Abstract Two new species and three new subspecies of Brachymeria West wood, viz., B. putturensis, B. putturensis longigastralis, B. flagellata, B. fonscolombei rufoflagellatae, and B. fonscolombei nigriflagellatae are described from Mysore, India. A key for their identification is given.
