In the year 2016, two exotic invasive species of Auchenorrhyncha, the Asian leafhopper Orientus ishidae (Matsumura) (Cicadellidae) and the Nearctic planthopper Acanalonia conica (Say) (Acanaloniidae) were recorded for the first time in Romania.
