The species formerly classified in the genus Afidentula Kapur from New Guinea and Aru Islands are revised. As a result of detailed analysis of mouth parts and genital structures of the species, two new genera are proposed: monotypic Lalokia gen. nov. from Aru Islands and New Guinea, with Lalokia aruensis (Crotch) (comb. nov.), and Papuaepilachna gen. nov. from New Guinea including Papuaepilachna bivacana (Bielawski) (comb. nov.), P. kapuri (Bielawski) (comb. nov.), P. nasti (Bielawski) (comb…

Epilachnini (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae)—A Revision of the World Genera

Based on the recent revised generic classification of the tribe Epilachnini, all 27 genera are re-described, diagnosed, illustrated, and included in an identification key.

Missing geographic link: minute lady beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae: Microweiseinae) from Mount Wilhelm, New Guinea

Newly collected materials from “The authors' Planet Reviewed – Papua New Guinea” expedition revealed three new species belonging to the subfamily Microweiseinae, till now unknown from New Guinea.

Phylogeny of Epilachna, Henosepilachna, and Some Minor Genera of Phytophagous Ladybird Beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae: Coccinellinae: Epilachnini), with an Analysis of Ancestral Biogeography and Host-Plant Utilization

From reconstructions of biogeographical distribution and host-plant utilization at ancestral nodes, an African origin is inferred for the common ancestor of the species studied, and the frequency of host shifts to differ greatly between the two major lineages of Epilachnini examined.

Revision of the genus Figura (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) with descriptions of new species

The African genus Figura Ukrainsky, 2006 is revised. A detailed redescription of its morphology is presented. Three new species are described, F. bitalensis sp. n., F. lineata sp. n. and F.

Epiverta Dieke (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae: Epilachnini): A Complex of Species, Not a Monotypic Genus

Rich sampling and modern research techniques, including SEM, revealed that rarely collected epilachnine species Epiverta chelonia is a complex of four closely related species: E. chelonia (Mader,

Phylogeny and evolution of phytophagous ladybird beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae: Epilachnini), with recognition of new genera

This work assembled a comprehensive dataset, consisting of four DNA markers and a matrix of 104 morphological characters for 153 species of Epilachnini representing all previously recognised genera, ∼11% of the known species, and 14 outgroup taxa, to infer the evolutionary history and provide a phylogeny‐based classification.

A new species and first record of the genus Cynegetis Chevrolat (Coleoptera, Coccinellidae, Epilachnini) from China

The first species of the genus Cynegetis Chevrolat is recorded from China and diagnostic similarities and differences between Cyne getis and Subcoccinella Agassiz & Erichson are discussed and illustrated.

A contribution to Asian Afidentula Kapur (Coleoptera, Coccinellidae, Epilachnini)

Three new species of Afidentula are described from China, including Afissa siamensis Dieke is moved to Afidentulas comb, and a key to Asian species ofAfidentula is updated.

species of the Afrotropical genus Tropha Weise are revised, diagnosed, and illustrated, and a key to the species of Tropha is presented.

New records of epilachnine lady-beetles (Coleoptera, Coccinellidae, Coccinellinae) of Peru

The phytophagous coccinellids Toxotoma guerini Gordon 1975 and Epilachna bistriguttata Mulsant 1850 are reported for the first time in Peru, in the regions of Cusco and Puno.
