Ostracods are small bivalved crustaceans widely distributed in aquatic environments and in total 99 species have been recorded in genus Euphilomedes Kornicker, 1967. In this study, we further describe two new species of benthic ostracods in this genus, Euphilomedes liuruiyii sp. nov. and Euphilomedes pentacanthos sp. nov., collected from the Taiwan Strait in China. These two species can be easily distinguished from their congeners by some crucial morphological characteristics, including the…

Euphilomedes biacutidens (Ostracoda, Myodocopida, Philomedidae), a new species from China Sea
A new species Euphilomedes biacutidens is described from the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea in having a unique combination of the characteristics of spines on carapace, the filaments on sensory seta, the arrangement of setae on tip of the first antenna, and the numbers ofSetae on appendages.
A bathypelagic ostracod Conchoecissa nigromaculatus sp. nov. (Myodocopa, Halocyprididae) from the South China Sea
In this species, mandibular coxal endite has no ventral finger process, maxilla has prominently large endites and has only two claws on the tip, the sixth limb has very simple endites, and this species has distinctive features not previously observed in the tribe Conchoeciini before, necessary to emend the diagnosis of this group.
A new pelagic Polyconchoecia Xiang, Chen and Du, 2018 (Ostracoda: Myodocopa: Halocyprididae) from the South China Sea
The locations of the major glands on carapace and the characteristics of the first antenna can be the key of the new species Polyconchoecia chenii from the middle of the South China Sea.

Benthic Ostracoda (Myodocopina, Philomedidae) of the East Sea (Sea of Japan), with description of a new species from the Korean Peninsula
The philomedid fauna of the East Sea (Sea of Japan) contains nine species, including four species of Philomedes, three of Euphilomedes and two of Scleroconcha, which is closely related to E. sordidus but differs in size and ornamentation of the carapace, number and length of bristles, teeth and claws on the limbs.
A new Euphilomedes Kornicker, 1967 (Myodocopida: Philomedidae) from Tasmania with a key to the species of the genus
Euphilomedes tasmanicus n. sp. is described in this paper. The species was collected from the estuary of the Huon River in Tasmania, Australia. It is most closely related to another Australian
Mediomastus chinensis sp. nov., a new species of Capitellidae (Annelida: Polychaeta) from the southeast coast of China
It is indicated that Mediomastus species inhabiting Chinese waters might be misidentified as M. californiensis, and that Medomastus chinensis sp.
The Myodocopid Ostracod Familes Philomedidae and Pseudophilomedidae (New Family)
The Pseudophilomedes genus is reviewed, with specimens borrowed from the Zoological Museum, BerUn, and the original description by Muller (1894) is supplemented in this paper.
Revision of the Cypridinacea of the Gulf of Naples (Ostracoda)
The Cypridinacea described by G. W. Miiller in 1894 are restudied and Supplementary descriptions and new illustrations are given for 11 of the 12 species described by Miiller.
West African Myodocopid Ostracoda (Cypridinidae, Philomedidae)
Eleven species, including 5 new species and 1 new subspecies, in 6 genera in the families Cypridinidae and Philomedidae, collected by the research vessels Thalassa and Cornide de Saavedra in 1971 from the shelf and slope of Spanish Sahara and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, are described and illustrated.
Myodocopid Ostracoda of Hydrothermal Vents in the Eastern Pacific Ocean
Two new species of Ostracoda in the suborder Myodocopina are described and illustrated from hydrothermal vents in the eastern Pacific Ocean at depths of 1570-2600 m.
