Our purpose was to compare the clinical course of acute hematogenous osteomyelitis (AHO) 20 years ago and today in the Department of Paediatric Surgery, Kaunas Medical University Hospital, Lithuania. Retrospective data analysis from patients aged 1–16 years with confirmed diagnosis of AHO was performed. The data were collected from 1982 to 2003.
