An original simulation code is under development for an inductively-coupled, radiofrequency ion thruster discharge. The code considers fluid model and is two-dimensional in axisymmetric space and three-dimensional in velocity. Major theory development of the discharge model includes the coupling and diffusion of the magnetic field induced by both the coil and the plasma.
