Twisted supergravity is supergravity in a background where the bosonic ghost field takes a non-zero value. This is the supergravity counterpart of the familiar concept of twisting supersymmetric field theories. In this paper, we give conjectural descriptions of type IIA and IIB supergravity in $10$ dimensions. Our conjectural descriptions are in terms of the closed-string field theories associated to certain topological string theories, and we conjecture that these topological string theories…
Twisting pure spinor superfields, with applications to supergravity
We study twists of supergravity theories and supersymmetric field theories, using a version of the pure spinor superfield formalism. Our results show that, just as the component fields of
Twisted eleven-dimensional supergravity
We construct a fully interacting holomorphic/topological theory in eleven dimensions that is defined on products of Calabi–Yau fivefolds with real one-manifolds. The theory describes a particular
Twisting and localization in supergravity: equivariant cohomology of BPS black holes
A bstractWe develop the formalism of supersymmetric localization in supergravity using the deformed BRST algebra defined in the presence of a supersymmetric background as recently formulated in [1].
On Cohomological Algebras in Supersymmetric Quantum Field Theories
In this thesis we compute certain supersymmetric subsectors of the algebra of observables in some Quantum Field Theories (QFTs) and demonstrate an application of such computation in checking an
Holomorphic boundary conditions for topological field theories via branes in twisted supergravity
Three-dimensional N = 4 supersymmetric field theories admit a natural class of chiral half-BPS boundary conditions that preserve N = (0, 4) supersymmetry. While such boundary conditions are not
Twisted heterotic/type I duality
We formulate a twisted version of the conjectured duality between heterotic and type I string theories. Our formulation relates the chiral part of the heterotic string with a type I topological
Twisted characters and holomorphic symmetries
We consider holomorphic twists of arbitrary supersymmetric theories in four dimensions. Working in the BV formalism, we rederive classical results characterizing the holomorphic twist of chiral and
Pure and twisted holography
We analyze a simple example of a holographically dual pair in which we topologically twist both theories. The holography is based on the two-dimensional N = 2 supersymmetric Liouville conformal field
Holography and Koszul duality: the example of the $M2$ brane
Si Li and author suggested in that, in some cases, the AdS/CFT correspondence can be formulated in terms of the algebraic operation of Koszul duality. In this paper this suggestion is checked
M-theory in the Omega-background and 5-dimensional non-commutative gauge theory
The $\Omega$-background is defined for supergravity, and a very general class of such backgrounds is constructed for 11-dimensional supergravity. 11-dimensional supergravity in a certain

Kodaira-Spencer theory of gravity and exact results for quantum string amplitudes
We develop techniques to compute higher loop string amplitudes for twistedN=2 theories withĉ=3 (i.e. the critical case). An important ingredient is the discovery of an anomaly at every genus in
Quantization of open-closed BCOV theory, I
This is the first in a series of papers which analyze the problem of quantizing the theory coupling Kodaira-Spencer gravity (or BCOV theory) on Calabi-Yau manifolds using the formalism for
Division Algebras and Supersymmetry IV
Recent work applying higher gauge theory to the superstring has indicated the presence of 'higher symmetry', and the same methods work for the super-2-brane. In the previous paper in this series, we
Super-Lie n-algebra extensions, higher WZW models and super-p-branes with tensor multiplet fields
We formalize higher-dimensional and higher gauge WZW-type sigma-model local prequantum field theory, and discuss its rationalized/perturbative description in (super-)Lie n-algebra homotopy theory

SU(5)-invariant decomposition of ten-dimensional Yang-Mills supersymmetry
Abstract The N = 1 , d = 10 super Yang–Mills action is constructed in a twisted form, using SU ( 5 ) invariant decomposition of spinors in 10 dimensions. The action and its off-shell closed twisted
Negative branes, supergroups and the signature of spacetime
A bstractWe study the realization of supergroup gauge theories using negative branes in string theory. We show that negative branes are intimately connected with the possibility of timelike
Topological quantum field theory
A twisted version of four dimensional supersymmetric gauge theory is formulated. The model, which refines a nonrelativistic treatment by Atiyah, appears to underlie many recent developments in
Oriented open - closed string theory revisited
Abstract String theory on D-brane backgrounds is open-closed string theory. Given the relevance of this fact, we give details and elaborate upon our earlier construction of oriented open-closed
Notes on supersymmetric and holomorphic field theories in dimensions 2 and 4
These notes explore some aspects of formal derived geometry related to classical field theory. One goal is to explain how many important classical field theories in physics -- such as supersymmetric
