Implementing Systematic Faculty Development to Support an EPA-Based Program of Assessment: Strategies, Outcomes, and Lessons Learned
TLDR
This systematic approach to prepare assessors, faculty and postgraduate trainees, to complete EPA assessments for medical students during the clerkship phase of this institution-wide program is designed to build assessors' skills in direct observation of learners during authentic patient encounters.
From case‐based to entrustment‐based discussions
TLDR
How trust builds over time and how risks may be assessed is discussed, which is a valuable and stimulating addition to the toolbox series, and it is likely to generate much discussion.
How Do Clerkship Students Use EPA Data? Illuminating Students' Perspectives as Partners in Programs of Assessment.
TLDR
Although students reported varying use of the supervision ratings, their perspectives about how assessors and students interact and/or partner before, during, and after assessments provide insights into the importance of an educational alliance in making a program of assessment meaningful and acceptable to learners.

What should we mean by “allowed to supervise others” in entrustment scales?
TLDR
This paper proposes that this final level of EPA assessments is better conceptualized as “Allowed to determine the appropriate level of supervision for others in the practice of the activity”, and goes beyond what the authors should expect of every physician-in-practice.
Development of Entrustable Professional Activities for entry into residency at the Charité Berlin
TLDR
The systematic approach yielded the definition of 12 core EPAs for entry into residency at the level of “act with distant supervision” according to the practice in the authors' context, which may support other medical schools who plan to implement EPAs into their curricula.
