L'A. se propose d'etudier la variation seculaire du champ magnetique terrestre en comparant l'orientation de 298 edifices de priere turques, dates du XI siecle a nos jours. Pour etre precis, la date de la construction du monument doit etre connue. Les resultats des erreurs ont mis en evidence un groupe serre bien proche du zero, montrant une bonne connaissance des problemes d'orientation. Par contre, beaucoup d'autres mosquees sont mal orientees, par meconnaissance involontaire ou volontaire
