We experimentally demonstrate tunable optical wavelength conversion of a 10-Gb/s radio frequency (RF)-tone assisted orthogonal-frequency-division-multiplexing (OFDM) signal with approximately-5 dB (approximately 30%) efficiency over approximately 30 nm bandwidth using a periodically-poled lithium-niobate (PPLN) waveguide. A penalty of < 3 dB is obtained after wavelength conversion. Quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) size and subcarrier number are varied to further evaluate the performance of… Expand

Cost-efficient, polarization-insensitive and widely-tunable AOWC of OFDM signal based on FWM in SOA.
TLDR
The analytical results show that the proposed scheme is polarization-insensitive and has a wider conversion range compared with the parallel pump scheme and orthogonal pump scheme, and it has been numerically demonstrated wavelength conversion of 16QAM-OFDM signal. Expand

Experimental characterization of an all-optical wavelength converter of OFDM signals using two-mode injection-locking in a Fabry-Pérot laser.
TLDR
The proposed AOWC can provide a linear transfer function from the control signal to the probe signal to support the random-fluctuated OFDM waveform and the power penalty is measured to show the tradeoff between the penalty and capacity. Expand
