Tumor vascularization is the rate-limiting step for the progression of cancer. Differential steps of tumor-induced angiogenesis were studied by a novel in vitro confrontation culture of avascular multicellular prostate tumor spheroids and embryoid bodies grown from pluripotent embryonic stem (ES) cells.
