Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF)-alpha Promoter Polymorphisms in Ankylosing Spondylitis: Comment on the Article by Ji et al

Abstract

TNF-α promoter polymorphisms may be associated with the severity rather than the susceptibility of AS. Further studies with a large sample size and precise methodology are needed. Interactions may already exist between gene and environment. All of these are helpful to determine the exact mechanisms of TNF-α promoter polymorphisms in AS.
