OBJECTIVE To identify components of the patient-doctor relationship associated with trust in physicians. METHODS We assessed 102 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA) seen at publicly funded hospitals in Houston, Texas.
