A laboratory continuous-flow system delivering known aqueous concentrations of pesticides to passive samplers was used to examine the kinetics of pesticide uptake and release. The passive samplers were constructed of low-density polyethylene membrane bags containing 2.2.4-trimethylpentane solvent (TRIMPS). Both uptake and release experiments were run in triplicate.
