[Trichinellosis in Poland in 2005].

The total number of 70 cases of human trichinellosis was reported in Poland in 2005. Out of 70 cases 64 (91%) were notified from 3 outbreaks. Wild boar meat was the source of infections in all outbreaks. The presence of Trichinella endemic areas in the north, central and east parts of the country still determines the necessity of careful meat surveillance on Trichinella spp.
