Based on the error analysis of line segment rendering, we propose a new approach to piecewise linear approximation that proves significantly more efficient than previous solutions and allows the maintenance of any degree of accuracy. The major idea uses triangle subdivision versus scanline subdivision, computing the number of subtriangles based on the ratio of homogeneous coordinates.
