The objective of research is to find DBH prediction models that: use variables derived from remote sensing, field mensuration and previous forest inventory data; can be used in STRS methods; are suitable for Latvian forest conditions. In paper different tree DBH predicting models from field and remote sensing data were researched. The study site is a forest in middle of Latvia at Jelgava district (56o39' N, 23o47' E).
