Previously obscured within other designations of aggressive lymphomas, peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) now represents 23 different subtypes of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Despite the many subtypes now recognized, PTCL represents only approximately 10% of all NHL cases diagnosed.
