Dysregulation of autophagy has been implicated in various cardiovascular diseases. Trastuzumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody, binds to HER2 domain IV and is approved for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. Trastuzumab therapy is associated with considerable cardiotoxicity, the mechanism of which remains unclear.
