Transverse Momentum Dependence of Photon Interferometry as a Signature of the Deconnnement Phase Transition

Abstract

We study the single-and double-inclusive spectra of thermal photons, produced in heavy-ion collisions at p s = 200 AGeV within a realistic space-time framework. Pre-equilibrium eeects are taken into account. The sensitivity of Bose-Einstein correlations of thermal photons to the space-time development of the source is discussed. The transverse-momentum dependence of photon-interferometry reeects qualitatively the presence of the deconnnement-phase transition and photon-interferometry may serve as a quark-gluon plasma signature.
