Three women with gestational trophoblastic disease were examined using transvaginal color Doppler at the initial diagnosis and after each course of chemotherapy. In all cases, the examination before chemotherapy revealed hypoechoic areas surrounded by irregular echogenic areas and numerous intramyometrial flow signals.
