Abstract Transumbilical retrograde abdominal aortography to study peripheral vascular occlusive disease in the newborn period overcomes the necessity of using brachial or femoral arteriography with their known complications. The technique was used to study iliac artery occlusion and renal artery hypoplasia in the newborn.
