The validity of transtracheal Doppler (TTD) cardiac output (CO) monitoring during noncardiac surgery has not been established. A prospective evaluation was undertaken in 30 patients undergoing noncardiac surgery to assess the agreement between TTD and thermodilution measurements of CO.
