The Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) is a new transport protocol featuring multi-streaming and multi-homing. Until now, there have been two approaches considered to supporting Internet mobility: Mobile IP in the network layer and SIP in the application layer. In this paper, we discuss the use of SCTP for Internet mobility support in the transport layer.
