We use transport techniques to calculate the trispectrum produced in multiple-field inflationary models with canonical kinetic terms. Our method allows the time evolution of the local trispectrum parameters, tauNL and gNL, to be tracked throughout the inflationary phase. We illustrate our approach using examples. We give a simplified method to calculate the superhorizon part of the relation between field fluctuations on spatially flat hypersurfaces and the curvature perturbation on uniform… Expand

The inflationary bispectrum with curved field-space
We compute the covariant three-point function near horizon-crossing for a system of slowly-rolling scalar fields during an inflationary epoch, allowing for an arbitrary field-space metric. We showExpand
Calculation of the Curvature Perturbation During Non-Canonical Multifield Inflation
In this thesis we study models of inflation with a curved field-space metric. We concern ourselves with the calculation of the statistics of curvature perturbations which is essential for connectingExpand
Influence of reheating on the trispectrum and its scale dependence
We study the evolution of the non-linear curvature perturbation during perturbative reheating, and hence how observables evolve to their final values which we may compare against observations. OurExpand
Primordial bispectrum from multifield inflation with nonminimal couplings
Realistic models of high-energy physics include multiple scalar fields. Renormalization requires that the fields have nonminimal couplings to the spacetime Ricci curvature scalar, and the couplingsExpand
Numerically evaluating the bispectrum in curved field-space - with PyTransport 2.0
We extend the transport framework for numerically evaluating the power spectrum and bispectrum in multi-field inflation to the case of a curved field-space metric. This method naturally accounts forExpand
Primordial fluctuations and non-Gaussianities in sidetracked inflation
Heavy scalar fields can undergo an instability during inflation as a result of their kinetic couplings with the inflaton. This is known as the geometrical destabilization of inflation, as it reliesExpand
Transporting non-Gaussianity from sub to super-horizon scales
We extend the `moment transport method' for calculating the statistics of inflationary perturbations to the quantum phase of evolution on sub-horizon scales. The quantum transport equations form aExpand
The squeezed limit of the bispectrum in multi-field inflation
We calculate the squeezed limit of the bispectrum produced by inflation with multiple light fields. To achieve this we allow for different horizon exit times for each mode and calculate the intrinsicExpand
Multifield inflation and differential geometry
Cosmic inflation posits that the universe underwent a period of exponential expansion, driven by one or several quantum fields, shortly after the Big Bang. Renormalization requires the fields beExpand
Non-linear effects in early Universe cosmology
In this thesis, we discuss several instances in which non-linear behaviour affects cosmological evolution in the early Universe. We begin by reviewing the standard cosmological model and the toolsExpand
