OBJECTIVES To evaluate pancreatic juice translocation after ischemia and reperfusion (I/R) of the superior mesenteric artery (SMA). METHODS Ischemia was induced by clamping the rat SMA for 40 minutes, after which flow was restored and the SMA reperfused for 300 minutes.
