Introduction Grapevine viruses can cause severe losses by substantially reducing yield, affecting fruit quality, and shortening the lifespan of infected plants in the vineyard. Strategies to control viruses are essentially preventive with sanitary selection programs or directed to eradicate virus vectors with agrochemicals.
