Explants fromPisum sativum shoot cultures and epicotyls were transformed by cocultivation withAgrobacterium tumefaciens vectors carrying plant selectable markers and transformants could be selected on a medium containing kanamycin. Transformants could also be obtained at a low frequency by cocultivating small protoplast-derived colonies.
