The GOLVEN (GLV)/ROOT GROWTH FACTORS/CLE-Like small signaling peptide family is encoded by 11 genes in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana). Some of them have already been shown to control root meristem maintenance, auxin fluxes, and gravitropic responses.
