The small gene family encoding the chlorophyll a/b-binding proteins of photosystem II (CABII or lhcb) is known to exhibit circadian rhythms of mRNA abundance in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. In this study we investigated the role of transcription in the phenomenon.
