PURPOSEThis study was designed to compare outcomes of transanal and vaginal techniques for rectocele repair.METHODSThirty females with symptomatic rectocele were enrolled in a prospective, randomized study. Fifteen underwent transanal rectoceleplasty, the other 15 underwent vaginal posterior colporrhaphy.
