The human mineralocorticoid (hMR) and glucocorticoid (hGR) receptors mediate biological responses to adrenal corticosteroids and synthetic ligands. In transient transfection studies, corticosteroid-responsive promoters were used to monitor the hormone-dependent transcriptional regulatory properties of both receptors.
