Bacterial community structures of highly chromium-polluted industrial landfill sites (G1 and G2) and a nearby control site (G3) were assessed using cultivation-dependent and cultivation-independent analyses. Sequencing of 16S rRNA genes discerned a total of 141 distinct operational taxonomic units (OTUs).
