The toxic factors to isopods (crustacea) were isolated from the venom of the chactoid scorpion Scorpio maurus palmatus (Scorpionidae) by the aid of column chromatography, and their purity was assessed by disc electrophoresis, analytical ultracentrifugation, isoelectrofocusing, and amino acid analysis.
