A fifth force, of technicolor type, responsible for breaking the electroweak theory is an intriguing extension of the standard model. Recently new theories have been shown to feature walking dynamics for a very low number of techniflavors and are not ruled out by electroweak precision measurements. We identify the light degrees of freedom and construct the associated low energy effective theories. These can be used to study signatures and relevant processes in current and future experiments. In… Expand
Dark Matter from new Technicolor Theories
We investigate dark matter candidates emerging in recently proposed technicolor theories. We determine the relic density of the lightest, neutral, stable technibaryon having imposed weak thermalExpand
Superweakly interacting dark matter from the Minimal Walking Technicolor
We study a superweakly interacting dark matter particle motivated by minimal walking technicolor theories. Our WIMP is a mixture of a sterile state and a state with the charges of a standard modelExpand
Gauge coupling unification via a technicolor model
We show that the recently proposed minimal walking technicolor theory together with a small modification of the standard model fermionic matter content leads to an excellent degree of unification ofExpand
University of Southern Denmark Unnatural Origin of Fermion Masses for Technicolor Antola
We explore the scenario in which the breaking of the electroweak symmetry is due to the simultaneous presence and interplay of a dynamical sector and an unnatural elementary Higgs. We introduce a lowExpand
Technicolor and Beyond: Unification in Theory Space
I will briefly review the salient features of models of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking together with the traditional extensions needed to provide masses to the standard model fermions inExpand
University of Southern Denmark Unnatural Origin of Fermion Masses for Technicolor
We explore the scenario in which the breaking of the electroweak symmetry is due to the simultaneous presence and interplay of a dynamical sector and an unnatural elementary Higgs. We introduce a lowExpand
Dark side of strongly coupled theories
We investigate the constraints of dark matter search experiments on the different candidates emerging from the minimal quasiconformal strong coupling theory with fermions in the adjointExpand
Dark matter from unification
We consider a minimal extension of the Standard Model (SM), which leads to unification of the SM coupling constants, breaks electroweak symmetry dynamically by a new strongly coupled sector and leadsExpand
Muon flux limits for Majorana dark matter from strong coupling theories
We analyze the effects of the capture of dark matter (DM) particles, with successive annihilations, predicted in the minimal walking technicolor model (MWT) by the Sun and the Earth. We show that theExpand
Holographic technicolor model and dark matter
We investigate the strongly coupled minimal walking technicolor model (MWT) in the framework of a bottom-up holographic model, where the global $SU(4)$ symmetry breaks to $SO(4)$ subgroup. In theExpand
