The assumption that vector mesons dominate the interactions of hadrons with electromagnetism (vector-meson dominance - VMD) provides an important phenomenological concept. On the other hand, a clear microscopic derivation is still missing and there are cases where VMD drastically fails, e.g. for the omega transition form factor. In principle, effective field theories with their systematic expansion and power counting could provide a tool to assess the validity of VMD and more generally to… Expand
Electromagnetic couplings of radially excited light vector mesons from QCD sum rules
Abstract. The couplings of unflavored vector mesons to the e+e- annihilation are an important source of information on the nature and structure of these resonances which play a prominent role in theExpand
The Rare Decay of the Neutral Pion into a Dielectron
We give a rather self-contained introduction to the rare pion to dielectron decay which in nontrivial leading order is given by a QED triangle loop. We work within the dispersive framework where theExpand
Octet and decuplet contribution to the proton self energy
Within the hadronic language of Chiral Perturbation Theory we present the full leading-order octet-baryon$-$meson and decuplet-baryon$-$meson contribution to the proton self energy and thus to itsExpand

TLDR
A heavy vector-meson chiral Lagrangian is derived in which the vector mesons are treated as heavy static matter fields and rare φ decays provide a sensitive test of nonleptonic neutral current structure. Expand
