Our knowledge about the QCD phase diagram at finite baryon chemical potential $\mu_{B}$ is limited by the well known sign problem. The path integral measure, in the standard determinantal approach, becomes complex at finite $\mu_{B}$ so that standard Monte Carlo techniques cannot be directly applied. As the sign problem is representation dependent, by a suitable choice of the fundamental degrees of freedom that parameterize the partition function, it can get mild enough so that reweighting… Expand

We investigate the sign problem in $0+1$D quantum chromodynamics at finite chemical potential by using the path optimization method. The SU(3) link variable is complexified to theExpand
Bag representation for composite degrees of freedom in lattice gauge theories with fermions

We explore new representations for lattice gauge theories with fermions, where the space-time lattice is divided into dynamically fluctuating regions, inside which different types of degrees ofExpand
Su(N) Polynomial Integrals and Some Applications
• Physics, Mathematics
• 2018
We use the method of the Weingarten functions to evaluate SU(N) integrals of the polynomial type. As an application we calculate various one-link integrals for lattice gauge and spin SU(N) theories.

We present a new dual representation for lattice QCD in terms of wordlines and worldsheets. The exact reformulation is carried out using the recently developed abelian color flux method where theExpand

Revisiting SU(N) integrals
In this note, I revisit integrals over $\SU(N)$ of the form $\int DU\, U_{i_1j_1}\cdots U_{i_pj_p}\Ud_{k_1l_1}\cdots \Ud_{k_nl_n}$. While the case $p=n$ is well known, it seems that explicitExpand
