This paper proposes a new approach to detect rotated objects at distinct angles using the Viola-Jones detector. The approach uses different types of Haar-like features, including twisted features which compute areas at 45 of rotation. A conversion algorithm takes an original feature from the classifier and computes two features to find an equivalent value for any angle.
