Abstract

The author reports his personal experience with the use of total hip arthroplasty in 48 adult patients with major arthrosis sequelae from congenital dislocation of the hip. Particular emphasis is laid on a description of a classification of these sequelae, the technique used for total prosthesis application, and the results obtained, which are the consequence of close cooperation between the members of the surgical team, and the way in which the technique performed has been improved over the course of the years.
