Renal hydatidosis usually requires surgical treatment such as pericystectomy, marsupialization, or nephrectomy. In the era of minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic treatment is preferred. Two main challenges in laparoscopy are to avoid the spillage of contents and to minimize incision for delivering the specimen.
