Motivated by the topologically insulating circuit of capacitors and inductors proposed and tested by Jia et al. [arXiv:1309.0878], we present a related circuit with fewer elements per site. The normal mode frequency matrix of our circuit is unitarily equivalent to the hopping matrix of a quantum spin Hall insulator, and we identify perturbations that do not backscatter the circuit's edge modes. The idea behind these models is generalized, providing a platform to simulate tunable and locally…

Simulating quantum spin Hall effect in the topological Lieb lattice of a linear circuit network

- Physics
- 2018

Inspired by the topological insulator circuit experimentally proposed by Jia Ningyuan et al. [Phys. Rev. X 5, 021031 (2015)], we theoretically realize the topological Lieb lattice, a line-centered…

Topological circuits of inductors and capacitors

- PhysicsAnnals of Physics
- 2018

Alternating current (ac) circuits can have electromagnetic edge modes protected by symmetries, analogous to topological band insulators or semimetals. How to make such a topological circuit? This…

Topological Anderson insulator in electric circuits

- Physics

In this paper, we investigate the realization of topological Anderson insulators in electric circuits. A disordered Haldane model is constructed through electric circuit networks composed of…

Topological Zak phase in strongly coupled LC circuits

- Physics
- 2018

We show the emergence of topological Bogoliubov bosonic excitations in the relatively strong coupling limit of an LC (inductance-capacitance) one-dimensional quantum circuit. This dimerized chain…

Topological Nodal States in Circuit Lattice

- Physics, MedicineResearch
- 2018

A scheme to realize topological nodal states with a three-dimensional periodic inductor-capacitor (LC) circuit lattice, where the topological nodsal line state and Weyl state can be achieved by tuning the parameters of inductors and capacitors.

Observation of corner states in second-order topological electric circuits

- Physics
- 2020

Recently, the topological states in electric circuits have attracted a great deal of attention, and they have formed the basis of the field of so-called topoelectrical circuits. We realize a…

4D spinless topological insulator in a periodic electric circuit

- Medicine, PhysicsNational science review
- 2020

It is argued that, because of its symmetry properties, the 4D spinless topological insulator is particularly well suited for implementation in these synthetic systems.

Observation of Antichiral Edge States in a Circuit Lattice

- Physics
- 2020

We constructed an electrical circuit to realize a modified Haldane lattice exhibiting the unusual phenomenon of antichiral edge states. The circuit consists of a network of inductors and capacitors…

Topologically Protected Edge State in Two-Dimensional Su–Schrieffer–Heeger Circuit

- Medicine, PhysicsResearch
- 2019

This work design and experimentally demonstrate a topologically nontrivial band structure and the associated topologically protected edge states in an RF circuit, which is composed of a collection of grounded capacitors connected by alternating inductors in the x and y directions, in analogy to the Su–Schrieffer–Heeger model.

Bound state in the continuum in topological inductor–capacitor circuit

- Physics
- 2020

Bound states in the continuum (BICs) have received increasing attention from researchers because of their potential applications in photonic crystal fibers, as well as in lasing, sensing, and surface…
