Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory cutaneous disease with difficult-to-treat pruritus. Although phosphodiesterase (PDE) 4 inhibitors have an anti-inflammatory effect on inflammatory skin diseases, such as atopic dermatitis, their acute antipruritic activities remain unclear.
