We consider, at order α s 2 $$ {\alpha}_s^2 $$ in the QCD coupling, top-quark pair production in the continuum at various center-of-mass energies and b -quark pair production at the Z resonance by (un)polarized electron and positron beams. For top quarks we compute the forward-backward asymmetry with respect to the top-quark direction of flight, the associated polar angle distribution, and we analyze the effect of beam polarization on the QCD corrections to the leading-order asymmetry. We…

NLO QCD corrections to off-shell top–antitop production with semi-leptonic decays at lepton colliders

The study of top-quark properties will be a central aspect of the physics programme of any future lepton collider. In this article, we investigate the production of top-quark pairs in the

The forward-backward asymmetry for massive bottom quarks at the Z peak at next-to-next-to-leading order QCD

A bstractWe compute the order αs2 QCD corrections to the b-quark forward-backward asymmetry in e+e−→bb¯$$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to b\overline{b} $$ collisions at the Z boson resonance, taking the non-zero

Top-quark pair production at next-to-next-to-leading order QCD in electron positron collisions

A bstractWe set up a formalism, within the antenna subtraction framework, for computing the production of a massive quark-antiquark pair in electron positron collisions at next-to-next-to-leading

Revisiting the bottom quark forward–backward asymmetry AFB in electron–positron collisions

The bottom quark forward–backward asymmetry AFB is a key observable in electron–positron collisions at the Z0 peak. In this paper, we employ the Principle of Maximum Conformality (PMC) to fix the

Top quark forward-backward asymmetry in e+ e- annihilation at next-to-next-to-leading order in QCD.

The results show a large reduction of the theoretical uncertainties in predictions of the forward-backward asymmetry, and allow for a precision determination of the top-quark electroweak couplings at future e+ e- colliders.

Massive Quark Production in Electron Positron Annihilation to Order α 2 s †

Recent analytical and numerical results for the three-loop polarization function allow to present a phenomenological analysis of the cross section for massive quark production in electron positron

Heavy-quark-pair production at lepton colliders at NNNLO in QCD

We compute the total cross section of heavy-quark-pair production in e + e − annihilation mediated by a virtual photon at the next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (NNNLO) in Quantum Chromodynamics.

Massive quark production in electron positron annihilation to order $\alpha_s^2$

Abstract. Recent analytical and numerical results for the three-loop polarization function allow to present a phenomenological analysis of the cross section for massive quark production in electron

Revisiting the bottom quark forward–backward asymmetry $$A_\mathrm{{FB}}$$ in electron–positron collisions

The bottom quark forward-backward asymmetry $A_{\rm{FB}}$ is a key observable in electron-positron collisions at the $Z^{0}$ peak. In this paper, we employ the Principle of Maximum Conformality (PMC)
