Synchronous bilateral tonsil carcinoma: case presentation and review of the literature
TLDR
The handling of tonsillar tissue in the frame of panendoscopy in the case of CUP is still controversial and a bilateral tonsillectomy is recommended as a routine procedure for cancer of unknown primary as well as unilateral tonsilar carcinoma.

Severe prolonged dysphagia following transoral resection of bilateral synchronous tonsillar carcinoma
TLDR
It is reported that transoral bilateral pharyngectomy is quite harmful to near-term and intermediate-term swallowing outcomes and warning against primary surgical intervention in this setting is provided, while demonstrating that non-surgical treatment may be the best viable option.

Occult tonsillar carcinoma in the unknown primary
TLDR
A lower incidence of extracapsular spread and reduced recurrence rates in patients with unknown primary tumors presenting as occult tonsillar carcinoma may contribute to the improved prognosis observed in this group.
Prevalence, Morphology, and Prognosis of Human Papillomavirus in Tonsillar Cancer
TLDR
Morphologically, it was found that HPV-positive tumors had their origin in the tonsillar crypts, whereas HPV-negative tumors arose from the surface epithelium, while HPV status in this series did not correlate with clinical outcome.
