Tocopherols are important bioactive constituents of plant seed oils including soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] oil. Soybean contains about 20% of oil and tocopherols are about 1.5% of the oil (Clemente and Cahoon, 2009), the tocopherol concentration in soybean range from 10001500 ppm (Kim et al., 2007). Its nutritional value was recognized more than 90 years ago by Evans and Bishop (1922).
