Abstract This study reports the tissue distribution of Se in female mice. Mice were injected intraperitoneally with a single sublethal dosage (5 mg Se/kg) of four different forms of Se: selenate, selenite, selenocystine, and selenomethionine. The mice were sacrificed at various times over a 24‐hour period following injection. Selenium concentrations in seven different tissue types were determined fluorometrically.
