In conclusion, the large number of studies on human γδ T cells have shown that these lymphocytes share several characteristics in common with αβ T cells, and also embody many unique properties. Some investigations have perhaps suffered a constant analogy with the αβ T cell population, which has precluded new and original experimental approaches.
