Quality of life, fatigue and depression in Italian long-term breast cancer survivors
- Medicine, PsychologySupportive Care in Cancer
- 2012
Fatigue and depression have been found to be closely related both in cancer patients and in cancer survivors and it was surprisingly found that BCS reported better health compared to the general female population even if reporting more frequent use of health care facilities.
Gaps in Health-Related Quality of Life Among Survivors of Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease
- Medicine, PsychologyAsia-Pacific journal of public health
- 2015
The HRQoL of young cancer survivors was as impaired as that of older cancer survivors, whereas the HRQeL of CVD survivors and controls decreased with increasing age, suggesting that cancer survivors should receive more intensive attention to develop means of identifying them and to improve their quality of life.
Pain in long-term breast cancer survivors: the role of body mass index, physical activity, and sedentary behavior
- MedicineBreast Cancer Research and Treatment

Weight gain and lack of physical activity place breast cancer survivors at risk for pain long after treatment ends, and weight control and exercise interventions should be tested for effects on long-term pain in these women.
Effect of persistent menopausal symptoms on the wellbeing of Japanese breast cancer survivors.
- Psychology, MedicineNursing & health sciences

The coexistence of both UI and MDD was associated with a decrease across HRQOL subscales; including 40 points on role-emotional (RE) score, which may help clinicians to better recognize and alleviate their effects on cancer survivors’HRQOL.
Age-specific health-related quality of life in long-term and very long-term colorectal cancer survivors versus population controls – a population-based study*

In comparison with non-cancer controls, disease-free CRC survivors reported overall good HRQOL but experience persistent specific detriments inHRQOL many years after diagnosis.
Self-reported sleep problems in adolescent survivors of childhood cancer.
- Psychology, MedicineClinical journal of oncology nursing

The prevalence of self-reported sleep problems among ASCC before treatment, during treatment, following treatment, and in survivorship follow-up was described and the relationship between sleep problems and self- reported adverse psychosocial outcomes was described.
Symptom severity, symptom interference and use of complementary and alternative medicine among survivors of colorectal and breast cancer after curative treatment in Taiwan
- Medicine, PsychologyEuropean journal of cancer care
- 2019
The survivors did not have higher symptom severity and symptom interference with daily life, but were more likely to use CAM than the comparison group, and medical staff should discuss symptom interference and use of CAM with cancer survivors to guide them in the appropriateUse of CAM.
Predictive Factors for Depression in Breast Cancer Survivors
