As we showed in a preceding arXiv:gr-qc Einstein equations, conveniently written, provide the more orthodox and simple description of cosmological models with a time dependent speed of light $c$. We derive here the concomitant dependence of the electric permittivity $\epsilon$, the magnetic permeability $\mu$, the unit of charge $e$, Plank's constant $h$, under the assumption of the constancy of the fine structure constant $\alpha$, and the masses of elementary particles $m$. As a consequence…

### New varying speed of light theories

We review recent work on the possibility of a varying speed of light (VSL). We start by discussing the physical meaning of a varying-c, dispelling the myth that the constancy of c is a matter of

### Covariant and locally Lorentz-invariant varying speed of light theories

We propose definitions for covariance and local Lorentz invariance applicable when the speed of light $c$ is allowed to vary. They have the merit of retaining only those aspects of the usual

For the O(N) field theory with λΦ4 self-coupling, we construct the twoparticle-irreducible (2PI), closed-time-path (CTP) effective action in a general curved spacetime. From this we derive a set of

### Frames of Reference and Some of its Applications

A low-level 3-dimensional geometry with constant curvature and a corresponding coordinated proper-time scale is uncovered.

### Further evidence for a variable fine-structure constant from Keck/HIRES QSO absorption spectra

We have previously presented evidence for a varying fine-str ucture constant, α, in two independent samples of Keck/HIRES QSO absorption spectra. Here we present a detailed manymultiplet analysis of
